I’m sitting in the Morning Room enjoying a cappuccino while watching all the activity in the garden. Birds are perched on the feeders with more in the surrounding trees waiting their turn. There is a definite “pecking order” to breakfast. The squirrels are enjoying the corn feeder and pink phlox blooms throughout the garden. Snowball bushes are starting to turn from green to white blossoms and the hydrangea are leafing out. Blue Birds are nesting in their house and soon we’ll have little ones fluttering around the garden. It seems the perfect time to put together a Spring table setting using items from the Thrift Store.

I started with this white tablecloth patterned in yellow and green stripes. Small tufts of color alternate at the corners where the stripes meet. It makes for a pretty Spring background.

Beautiful roses and carnations in a cut crystal vase serve as the centerpiece adding additional Spring color to the table. The flowers are from the grocery store and have lasted a long time. I added some greens from the garden to fill out the bouquet.

Alternating green and pink scalloped chargers anchor the place setting. Then a dinner plate and salad plate by Lenox in their Butterfly Meadow pattern. It took several years to collect these plates but it was worth the time and effort to find this pattern. I really love using them in the Spring and Summer.
A small wooden charcuterie tray is placed at each setting with a few slices of bread to accompany the blue and sharp cheddar cheeses served as an appetizer.
A white and green patterned napkin held in a Lenox Butterfly meadow napkin ring completes the plate stack.

French glasses with a bee pattern serve as wine and water crystal in this setting. These are lovely and I have been collecting them as I find them over the last several years.

The glasses aren’t identical but they go together nicely as the pattern is the same. The bees will be out soon engaged in the work of pollinating the garden. I enjoy watching them as they buzz around the flowers so busy collecting nectar for the hive.

I’m using my Bee flatware by Wallace to accompany the glasses. It’s one of my favorite patterns and such fun to bring out each Spring. I actually purchased these and didn’t find them at a Thrift Store. LOL. They are silver with gold embellishments…beautiful flatware.

Here’s an overview of the table. All the Spring colors blend together.

In the background you can see the pinks and greens in the garden. It’s a lovely spot to dine and have a slice of nature join you at the table.

A month earlier than usual Spring has definitely arrived here in the South.
Oh, I envy you Spring! We got a foot of snow here in Maine last week, and although most of it has melted off the roof and walkway, it is still winter! Lovely, warmer, sunny day today, though! The colors in the tablecloth didn’t pop until I saw the overhead view; I love yellow as a spring color; must find my faux daffodils and put them on my kitchen table! I ordered some lily bulbs, etc. last week as as something to look forward to!
those big snows were the reason we finally moved south. I didn’t have the heart to shovel for one more winter. My tulips are blooming now and the ornamental trees are out in bloom. Spring is such pretty time. thanks for stopping by and sharing. I’ll hope for warmer days and less snow for you in Maine.

So pastel & refreshing. Today we had drizzle with a feel like temp of 36. Boo.
I feel lucky to have so much nice weather now but come summer I’ll probably be complaining about the heat and humidity. Hope your temperatures go up soon. Thanks for stopping by and sharing
