We are only a few days from the official start of Autumn. I love the richness of the Fall colors with deep reds, yellows and oranges making up the palate. My tablescape today begins with a beautiful tablecloth with a rich rusty red background. The tablecloth is filled with scattered flowers in fall colors that bring a beautiful tapestry to the table.

The picture above shows the tablecloth and features two crystal glasses. I paired these glasses for no other reason than I thought they were pretty and complimented one another. I decided to place the napkins in the water glass to bring the eye upwards. I love the beautiful shape of the water glass that is emphasized by having the colors of the napkin inside.

The plate stack features three distinct pieces of china. The top salad/dessert plate has rich colors that reflect the colors in the tablecloth. Each plate features a different fruit and adds to the interest of the table. The dinner plate is a simple cream colored, Wedgewood plate. It acts as a perfect background for the beautiful fruit plates.

Finally, the china charger is a green rim matching the greens in the tablecloth and grounds the other pieces. This charger has a beautiful etched rim with flowers flowing around the outside.

The china and crystal were all found at different Thrift Stores as were the tablecloth and napkins. I love being able to take the different finds and combine them into a pretty table. This one has Fall colors, beautiful china and crystal and cost very little money.

I wanted to use something different for the centerpiece so put this together from two separate pieces. The wreath is one I’ve had for awhile and I combined that with a large tri-colored candle that reflects the colors of the tablescape.

A simple silver-plate pattern that mirrors the design on the charger was used for the flatware. It’s one I haven’t used before and, I think, it worked pretty well.

Here’s an overview of the table. You can see all the different fruit plates and the vibrant colors. The table setting is simple but has lots of Fall colors that make you feel Autumn is definitely on it’s way.

It’s always fun to anticipate a new season. Fall is almost here and it was great to pull out some of my fall decor to share with Friends and Family.

  1. Gorgeous tablescape! I love all the red–everything feels so “harvest”y. 🙂 So warm and inviting. Thanks for sharing this post the the Will Blog for Comments #6 linkup! Hope to see you again next week. 🙂

  2. Oh this is lovely! I especially like those gorgeous salad plates with the vibrant colors that match your beautiful tabecloth. And I always forget about putting the napkin in the glasses. It really looks great there, and as you said, highlights the lovely shape of the glass. Thanks for the reminder, and for all your beautiful insiration!

    1. Storage is definitely a problem, Marsha. I’m always looking for places to put things. I don’t know if the tablecloth is April Cornell but I don’t think it is. It has the look of her cloths, though. Good luck with the chargers and the storage. Have a great week.
