Welcome to today’s Blog. I went on a little thrifting adventure yesterday and want to share my finds with you. I didn’t buy very much but I really liked the few things I found. It seemed to be the $2-$3 day as everything was around that price.

First up is what you see in the picture above. It’s already almost the middle of July and Fall is not that far away. I ran across these fun pumpkins in three different sizes. I loved the colors and thought they would make a nice display. the original price was $30 and they still have the tags. I paid about $3 for this grouping.

Next I found this Crane & Company stationery. The note paper is of a heavy quality and bordered in navy blue. The matching envelopes are also with the set. Originally is was $29 but I was able to purchase this for $2. I don’t use a lot of stationery but I do still write Thank You notes and Thinking of You notes. It’s lovely to receive something in the mail that is handwritten.

My next find was this darling little truck. I took the picture from above so you could see the wreaths on the front and in the truck bed. The truck bed is a candle holder. How cute is that. I paid $2 for this as Christmas was 1/2 off at the Thrift Store. This will be great for a Christmas display this year.

The last find was the best find. Five white on white salad plates by Wedgewood in the Colosseum pattern. The plates sell for about $70 per plate and I found five of them for $2.25 a piece. Not too shabby for a quick Thrift Store outing. I’ll be showing you how I used them in place settings later in the week.

A pretty good shop with a mixed bag of items. I really love the plates. Hope your next thrifting adventure is successful.

  1. (I don’t my phone access to your site captured my comments). Quite an unusual mix of items. The plates are fantastic!

  2. Wow, you have some really wonderful finds here, love the plates! I had not been to the thrift store in a while and went last week. I was stunned with how much the prices have increased! $25 for bookends? I nearly fell over, I doubt I will be back to that particular one again which is a shame. Would love to shop with you again, great taste, and great finds! Thank you for sharing with Whimsy Home Wednesday.

    1. Thanks, Cara. Really enjoyed visiting your site. the prices in my area have gone up as well and it is harder to find great deals.
Also, it seems like more people are shopping in Thrift Stores than before. We try to go on different days each week and visit different shops. Thanks for thrifting with me. Have a wonderful week.
