Winter Wonderland on a Tray Tour

I am delighted to be included with such a great group of creative bloggers. If you are visiting from Rachel at the antiquedjourney.com , welcome. Didn’t she have a wonderful tray?

When I think of a Winter Wonderland… snow, reindeer, sleighs, crystal and white all spring to mind. I took all those elements into account when putting this tray together. As you can see in the photo above it’s quite a large tray for the entranceway. I stenciled the tray with the saying, “Let It Snow” and included some lovely snowflakes to help us think about a snow-filled landscape.

A trio of silver trees sparkling in a snowy landscape anchor the tray from the left. They come in three sizes and have lots of sparkly texture to add interest to the scene.

A beautiful white and gold sleigh is being pulled by a crystal reindeer with silver antlers. The sleigh is filled with bounty from the garden. Ivy trails from the sleigh, sage leaves add a touch of silver to the arrangement and some beautiful camellias from the garden are included. Baby’s Breath is added for a touch of whimsy.

Here’s a closer look at the reindeer and the sleigh. The mirror reflects the sleigh and plantings allowing you to see both sides at once.

Here’s a closer look at the arrangement. The greens will last a long time and the few flowers can be replaced easily to keep the arrangement fresh for a long time.

Here you can see the opposite side of the tray where a trio of mercury glass candlesticks fitted with white candles anchors the arrangement. Crystal flakes adorn the tray and bring a sense of falling and drifting snow.

From across the hallway you can see the entire vignette. It is a lovely greeting for Friends and Family that will last through the holiday season and into the Winter months. A crystal wreath is mounted on the mirror and adds additional sparkle to the scene.

…and at night, in the candlelight, snow and reindeer can be magical.

From our home to yours, a wonderful Holiday Season filled with joy and laughter and the true meaning of Christmas.

  9. That is beautiful! I’m definitely going to have to check out a few of these others as I have one tray that I’m only 1/2 finished and it needs a little something else… but I’m just out of ideas of what else I want to try.

  10. Lynne, so nice to mert you on this hop. Our entry is so similar to yours. We have a chest with a big mirror above, too. Always a great place for a tray display. Love your sled and all the greenery. The candles add just the right touch for Christmas.
