“It is in that quiet place at our own center that we hear the whispers of our soul.”

Late afternoon and the sun’s rays are low in the sky. It’s time to take a break and relax with some tea and a beautiful peach. The light highlights the beautiful colors of the peaches and the earthy tones in the pottery cups and teapot.

“It is neither wealth nor splendor, but tranquility and occupation which give you happiness.” Thomas Jefferson

The teapot is a pottery original with a wrapped handle. It has a brown crackle glaze with a design in yellow and green glaze on the front of the pot. Pottery plates in the same colors hold the peaches ready to share with a friend.

“Tranquility is a choice. So is anxiety. The entire world around us may be in turmoil. But if we want to be peaceful within. We can.” Anonymous

Slightly rough homespun napkins add to the relaxed feel of the setting. Sometimes the light is just right and captures the magic of a moment.

“One day you’ll look back and realize that you worried too much about things that don’t really matter.” Anonymous

A cookbook rests close by to stimulate the imagination for the possibilities of creative dining. Breathe in…capture the moment…breathe out. Life passes so quickly these moments need to be savored.

“Sit quietly – be. May you find tranquility in all the little moments of your day.” Anonymous

A simple tea break can become a magic moment providing time to recharge, reset and rest awhile from the demands of everyday living.
