Thrift Stores also hold holiday sales for their Christmas merchandise and you can pick up some great bargains. I was able to get a table full of great items for under $9. Welcome, Friends, to todays after Christmas thrift haul.

Isn’t Mr. Snowman cute? He is made of metal and is a bobble head snowman. He made us laugh when we found him in the store. He has a great carrot nose and is carrying a black shovel. He’s a very helpful snowman.

Found these great tin trays which I’m going to use as chargers next Christmas. The colors are wonderful and the scenes put you in mind of an old-fashioned Christmas. Each tray has a different scene but they are all done in the same colors.

I picked up this victorian style house to try out a project. I have some other houses, much simpler, in white and I am going to try painting this one white as well. It lights up and has a Santa in his sleigh landing on the roof. We’ll see how it turns out.

Found some brand new candles and picked those up. You can never have too many candles.

This wooden candle holder with the word Celebrate on the front actually matches a similar one I picked up a few weeks ago in white. They will make a nice pairing for Thanksgiving and then Christmas next year.

I ran out of Christmas tins this year so have to start restocking for next year. I use them for gifts for neighbors and friends and pack them with baked goods and other presents picked up over the year.

Found this brand new pillow which has a battery pack and when you push the right spot the pillow lights up. Fun!

Also found this great wooden sign. It has a different picture displayed on each side. Two for the price of one. LOL

The last item is this wooden, tall shelf that looks like a house. it’s another project in the making and I’ll share with you how it turns out.

This turned out to be a pretty good after Christmas sale at the Thrift Store. Hope your next thrifting adventure is filled with treasures.

  1. Wow, that’s quite a haul for $9! I like the idea of using the metal trays as chargers and will keep that in mind in case I ever find any. I’m anxious to see how your two project pieces turn out. Thanks for sharing your awesome finds 🙂

  2. I just saw a table set with metal Xmas trays used as chargers. Snowman is a cutie. I beg to differ with you regarding candles, lol. My mother has an entire deep pantry approx 3ft D x 5ft H x 3ft W (from memory) that holds every type of candle imaginable. I have been wrangling like with like items in her condo & it is stuffed with even more candles that were scattered EVERYWHERE. I could open a gift shop with all of her ‘stuff’.

    1. Robin, your Mom sounds like a woman who likes to be prepared for every eventuality. I haven’t run across anyone with as many candles. You are great to help organize her things. Thanks for sharing.
