Simple Bunny Table Setting

Welcome, friends! I’m so thrilled you’re joining me today as we usher in the coming of spring with a Simple Bunny Table Setting. For this tablescape, I’ve raided my own home, opting not to buy anything new. I’ll guide you through each step of this charming setting. As you can see in the picture above, a favorite bunny statue takes center stage on my table. This special piece was gifted to me by a dear friend years ago, and I delight in using it every spring.

Today, I’m excited to be part of a special gathering with 18 other bloggers, where we’ll all be sharing our Spring and Easter tablescapes. You can find the links to each blogger’s post at the bottom of this page, so be sure to check out their beautiful creations too! A special thank you to Rita of Panoply for organizing this hop. She always does such a fantastic job, and we’re grateful for her efforts in bringing us all together. Thanks, Rita!

If you’re visiting from Mantel and Table, welcome, weren’t those Tulips wonderful?

Now, let’s get started as I take you step-by-step through this table setting.

I set the stage for this tablescape with a soft yellow tablecloth, a perfect choice for welcoming the freshness of spring. Yellow, with its cheerful hue, acts as a subtle yet vibrant backdrop for the rest of the setting. For the chargers, I opted for a soft green set by Lenox, adding a calming and natural element to the table. The real star of the show, however, is the dinner plate from Noritake, boasting a stunning array of colors and patterns that dance across its surface. This plate not only complements the green charger but also brings in touches of yellow, creating a harmonious blend. To further tie in the yellow tones, I selected the ‘Butterfly Meadow’ pattern by Lenox for the salad plate, adding a whimsical touch to the setting. Finally, I introduced a blue bowl into the mix, echoing the blue accents in the ‘Butterfly Meadow’ pattern and completing the cohesive look of the place setting.

To add a whimsical touch, I crafted some adorable bunny ears (instructions below!) that wrap around green moss eggs, adding a playful pop of color to the table. For the flatware, I chose silver-plated ‘Olde Bouquet’ by Godinger, its floral-adorned handles perfectly embody the essence of spring. The crystal accents include ‘Orchid’ wine glasses by Heisey and water glasses by Tiffin-Franciscan, adding a touch of elegance to the setting. What’s even more exciting is that everything mentioned so far was thrifted, showcasing my love for creating special table settings with unique finds.

For the centerpiece, I opted for a cut crystal biscuit holder, which provides an elegant and sparkling base. I gathered a mix of flowers from my garden, along with a few store-bought blooms, to create a light and airy arrangement. I wanted to capture the essence of spring, where blooms don’t all appear at once but gradually unfold, creating a sense of natural beauty and serenity.

A side view of the plate stack shows you all the colors of Spring that blend exuberantly in this table setting.

Here’s a look at the centerpiece with the place settings adding their color around the table.

To enhance the centerpiece, I nestled in some adorable bunny figurines and intertwined azalea blossoms throughout the bunnies. This intertwining not only links the bunnies and the flowers but also adds a delightful touch of whimsy. You might have noticed the soft pink lights in the background; those are actually grow lights on timers. They’re set to mimic the number of hours of sunlight that plants would receive outdoors, ensuring that the blooms stay vibrant and healthy.

You can see how the centerpiece works with the place settings to bring a feeling of Spring with all its color.

All you need to make the bunny ear napkins are a square napkin, eggs, and a bit of raffia or ribbon for the tie. You can see in the pictures above how simple and quick this fold is. You can put a face on the egg, if you like. I kept it simple.

I haven’t decided on the menu as yet but I know it will include a soup course, then probably ham and sides like a Spring risotto and a salad with perhaps carrot cake for dessert.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I hope you’ll click on the links below and visit all the ladies. You’ll find some great ideas for your own tables as you enjoy the creative efforts of these talented Bloggers.
