Today has been a beautiful, sunny day with temperatures of about 70 degrees. I just returned from a walk around the lake and feel as if Spring is more than just a hope. Welcome to the Blog, today, I’m so happy you are here to share this “almost” Spring tablescape with me.

You can see in the picture above that the table setting is using just three colors…grey, white and yellow to create a neutral setting with a punch of color. So let’s get started.

Looking at the stack from the side you can see that a white porcelain charger grounds the plate stack. It is followed by a dinner plate in a beautiful deep grey color from Studio 62. The salad/dessert plate is from the same collection. You can see that each of the plates has a deep rim around the edge. It has both a modern and a colonial feel to the dinnerware. I found the plates recently at a local Thrift Store and loved the simplicity of the design.

A beautiful, embroidered, deep yellow napkin is placed between the two plates for some color separation and a pop of color. You can see that on each plate is a very cute origami rabbit. The rabbits are in multiple colors.

Thrifted glasses in two different patterns make up the glassware. The wine glass on the right is “Marquis” by Mikasa. I recently purchased it from a thrift Store nearby. The glass on the left is “Heritage” by Fostoria. They were thrifted just recently. I really love mixing the crystal pieces. It makes the table more interesting and allows two different patterns to be showcased.

The flatware pattern is called “Montana”. The pieces have a twisted handle that is blackened. The look is rustic and blends with the color scheme.

Here’s an overhead view where you can see the tablecloth with its yellow, white and grey flowers in a vining pattern. The centerpiece is a lovely plant with yellow flowers resting in a white ceramic holder. Two candlesticks with mustard-colored candles flank the plant.

The bunnies are leading us into the Spring and Easter season and add a touch if whimsy to the table.

Here’s another view of the table showing how the bunny picks up the yellow in the tablecloth and the napkin. Everything on the table was thrifted. It’s satisfying to use thrifted items to create a beautiful look especially when it doesn’t cost very much. Thanks for sharing this table setting with me.

  1. Another lovely tablescape. Love the bunnies. I know I have never used gray, white, and yellow together; it is a very nice combination!
