“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” – Luther Burbank

Welcome to the Blog today, Friends. With so much snow and cold weather around the country I thought it would be nice to visit the beauty of some of the flowers found in Ireland. It helps remind us that Winter won’t last forever. The photo above is a gorgeous rose bush along an Irish garden path.

“Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.”– Jim Carrey

Lilies bloom after a morning shower. The raindrops linger on the petals waiting the coming of the sun.

“Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.”– Luther Burbank

Beautiful bright red blossoms form a hedge on the way to a Stone Circle overlooking the sea.

“A flower does not use words to announce its arrival to the world; it just blooms.”– Matshona Dhliwayo

Window boxes line the streets of a picturesque village on the West coast of Ireland. The vibrant colors are enjoyed by all who pass by.

“Gardens and flowers have a way of bringing people together, drawing them from their homes.” – Clare Ansberry

I think this a spider mum in a beautiful garden on a beautiful island in Bantry Bay.

“Like wildflowers; You must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.”– E.V.

This vining flower found a home in a nearby tree.

“Love is like wildflowers; it’s often found in the most unlikely places.”– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Flowers grow tin profusion along the roadside next to the sea.

This reminder of Spring in the middle of Winter encourages us to take heart and know that all good things come in time.

  1. These are wonderful. I went to Ireland for the first time last spring and adored it. I loved all the greenery, flowers, etc. Visiting from Love Your Creativity linkup.

      1. “50 shades of green” is right! We loved that so much! Thanks for sharing this post at the Will Blog for Comments #22 linkup. Hope to see you next week at #23.

  2. Lovely. You had me at the pink roses–my favorite! Color is one more way I combat seasonal affective disorder–and winter in Maine is WAY too long. Thank you for brightening my day!

    1. My pleasure, Kathy, long winters can be difficult. I lived outside Chicago for a number of years and I’m originally from Canada. Long winters in both places. I don’t regret moving to a sunnier climate. Hope the winter isn’t too long in Maine. Have a great week.

  4. How beautifull 🙂 We went on a road trip in Ireland few years ago, driving the Wild Atlantic way and it was one of the most beautiful trips ever. I’m seriously thinking to do it again, if there’s a place where I would move in the EU that would surely be Ireland.

  5. So beautiful, lovely flowers

  7. Lynne, wow!!! You had me with the pink roses and the graceful statue in the background… So pretty! Glad to be able to feature your post at this week’s Share Your Style #416 for you. Really stunning flowers… And so brilliantly colored! Mine are always washed out from the summer sunlight here in the south.

Here’s to the groundhog saying we will be having an early spring,
    Barb 🙂

    1. Thanks, Barb, I know you are already out in your garden. I hope to be soon. The Ground hog predicted an early Spring. More garden time for all of us. Appreciate the feature. Love visiting your site. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
