Welcome to the Blog today. I’m so glad you decided to stop by and visit. Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? My thrifting has been a bit limited lately so I have just a small shop to share with you today. However, the items are quite nice and quite different from one another.

You can see from the photo above that I found four wooden plates. These are in excellent condition with no water stains or chips anywhere in sight. I am really looking forward to using these…maybe as individual charcutterie trays or perhaps for steak. These could also be chargers for a luncheon setting. The possibilities are many.

The second item is a set of four placemats. The background color is light blue and you can see the lovely beaded stars that are embroidered on the placemats. They had the original labels…always nice to find. These will be perfect for a winter tablescape.

Next is this really pretty lantern house made of metal with a detachable roof so you can insert a 3″ candle in the base of the lantern.

The house has a wide open roof to allow the candle smoke to escape. It is quite pretty and now has a place in the Dining Room. That room is coming up soon.

Not a large haul but all of these finds will be used over the holiday season.

    1. Hi Robin, the fabric is a silky poly blend and looks like a bit of gauze on top. Really quite light and lovely. I just have to come up with a wintry tablescape to showcase them. love that you stopped by and took the time to comment. Have a lovely Thanksgiving.

  1. A friend of mine had a tree taken down. Her husband sawed it into pieces, and then her son planed them. She had intended to use them as charcuterie boards, but they split. So, she gave them away! I have one and need to do something to finish/preserve it. I will probably use it as a centerpiece. I love that little house and can’t wait to see what you do with this mini haul.

    1. Hi Marsha, try using mineral oil on the wood. It helps keep it from drying out and is food safe. I really liked the little house, too. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment. Have a great Thanksgiving.

  2. Cute finds, I like them especially the plates! Thanks so much for linking up at the #UnlimitedLinkParty 139. Pinned.

  3. Great finds as always! Love the little house; can’t wait to see the shadows it throws! My granddaughter, 18, is not much on helping to decorate their house for Christmas, but she LOVES setting up her mom’s village. SOO,,,I bought some houses on clearance after Christmas and thrifted more during the year and bought a few on-sale accessories. Now I need to find her a tote!

    1. Sounds like a fun activity to share with your granddaughter, Kathy. It’s always special to do something with a loved one. It will be a lovely activity for the two of you and I’m sure she’ll appreciate your effort. Have a great week.
