Today I\u2019m sharing a SUPER<\/strong> find that happened at Goodwill this week, and I truly wish you had been there to experience the excitement with me. There\u2019s something about spotting a treasure tucked quietly on a shelf that makes the heart beat just a little faster\u2014especially when it\u2019s something you\u2019ve been hoping to find for a long time. I’m also using my finds in an Easter tablescape that I hope you will enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve been reading the blog for a while, you probably already know that I have a soft spot for beautiful crystal glasses. In fact, finding a lovely set of crystal at a thrift store is one of my very favorite things. There\u2019s just something about the sparkle, the weight of the glass, and the way it catches the light that makes me smile every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, this week I had one of those wonderful thrifting moments that collectors dream about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m starting with this beautiful collection of ten Mikasa wine glasses<\/strong> in the \u201cArctic Lights\u201d<\/em> crystal pattern. Discovering even two or three matching glasses can feel like a small victory when thrifting, so you can imagine how excited I was to see a full set sitting there together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mikasa has long been known for producing lovely crystal pieces with timeless designs, and the Arctic Lights<\/em> pattern is one of their most popular. The cut of the crystal creates a delicate sparkle that feels both elegant and classic\u2014perfect for everything from a festive holiday table to a quiet evening dinner at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course, the best part of any thrifted treasure is knowing that something so beautiful has been given a second life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cut glass pattern rises gracefully from a simple stem, with just a few delicate cuts leading up to the bowl of the glass. From there, the design blossoms into a series of sparkling facets that catch the light beautifully. Whether in bright daylight or in the soft glow of candlelight, these glasses truly shimmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes this pattern so appealing is its balance of simplicity and elegance. The stem is clean and understated, allowing the sparkling bowl of the glass to take center stage. Each facet reflects light in a slightly different way, creating that lovely crystal sparkle that makes a table feel just a bit more special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was such a treat to find ten of these glasses together in one place<\/strong>, all in pristine condition. They were a little dusty from sitting on the shelf, but otherwise perfect\u2014no chips, cracks, or scratches to be found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The size is just right for an all-purpose wine glass<\/strong>, making them wonderfully versatile. They would look just as lovely holding a glass of red or white wine as they would serving sparkling water, iced tea, or even a festive holiday punch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, curiosity got the better of me, so I did a little research when I got home. I discovered that these glasses retail for around $30 each<\/strong>, which makes this thrift store find feel even more like a small treasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0second group of six glasses<\/strong>\u00a0I discovered during this same thrifting adventure at Goodwill were these\u00a0stunning Waterford Crystal water goblets in the\u00a0Araglyn<\/em>\u00a0pattern<\/strong>. If you enjoy beautiful crystal as much as I do, you\u2019ll know that spotting Waterford on a thrift store shelf always makes the heart skip a beat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stems of these goblets are exquisitely cut in a delicate flower pattern, giving them a graceful and elegant look. Above the stem, the bowl of the goblet features a classic crisscross pattern, with sparkling cuts that rise upward toward the rim of the glass. The combination of these patterns creates that unmistakable Waterford brilliance, catching and reflecting the light from every angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m a big Waterford fan, and I tend to pick up their crystal whenever I happen to find it while thrifting. But this particular discovery felt especially exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this day, I spotted these beautiful goblets tucked away in a bin on the bottom shelf of the crystal section<\/strong>, casually jumbled in with some very plain, everyday glasses. It would have been easy for someone to overlook them completely\u2014but fortunately, I always take a careful look through those lower shelves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a wonderful find!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I got home, I did a little research and discovered that these goblets retail on Replacements for around $240 per glass<\/strong>. That makes this discovery feel even more special\u2014because finding something this elegant and valuable at Goodwill is truly one of the joys of thrifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s a closer look at these gorgeous glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last find of the day<\/strong>, discovered in that very same Goodwill and in the very same crystal section, was an entire set of 24 Hoya crystal glasses<\/strong> in the beautiful \u201cSunrise Dahlia\u201d<\/em> pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These lovely glasses are marked on the bottom of the largest size goblets, which is always a treat for collectors. Hoya crystal pieces like these were manufactured between the 1960s and the 1980s<\/strong> and were once a very popular crystal import from Japan. Their craftsmanship and elegant designs made them a favorite for special occasions and formal dining tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pattern itself is absolutely stunning. The crystal catches the light beautifully, with a design that radiates outward like the petals of a blooming dahlia touched by the first light of morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even better, the set includes\u00a0three different sizes of glasses<\/strong>, making it wonderfully versatile for entertaining. There are\u00a0water goblets, red wine glasses, and white wine glasses<\/strong>, giving the collection a complete and elegant look when set on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finding a single beautiful crystal glass at a thrift store is always exciting\u2014but discovering a full set of twenty-four pieces in such lovely condition<\/strong> is truly something special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you can see the three sizes side by side<\/strong>, which really gives you a sense of how lovely this set is when displayed together. The collection includes water goblets, red wine glasses, and white wine glasses, each with the same beautiful Sunrise Dahlia<\/em> pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I did a little research later, I discovered that these glasses are currently listed on Replacements for about $90 each for the water goblets, $150 for the red wine glasses, and $120 for the white wine glasses<\/strong>. That made this discovery feel even more extraordinary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even better, every single glass is in wonderful condition<\/strong>\u2014no chips, no scratches, just beautiful crystal ready to sparkle on the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funny thing is that I hadn\u2019t even gone into Goodwill looking for crystal that day. I had stopped in because I was hoping to find a grapevine wreath for a project I have in mind<\/strong>. As usual, I wandered over to the glass section because it\u2019s a habit of mine to take a quick look\u2014although I really didn\u2019t expect to find anything special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that moment, a Goodwill employee was placing a large crate of glasses onto the shelf, all jumbled together with a mix of very ordinary pieces. I started looking through them and immediately realized there were some treasures hiding in that crate. One by one, I began carefully placing the crystal glasses into my cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My husband soon joined me, and before long he had gone to fetch another cart<\/strong> so we could safely gather them all up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, I was practically jumping up and down with excitement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t always share prices here on the blog, but this time I simply have to\u2014because a deal like this may never happen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, we brought home 40 crystal glasses<\/strong> that day and spent $34 altogether<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That works out to about 85 cents per glass<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No wonder I was practically dancing out the door<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this setting, I used the Hoya crystal glasses in three different sizes, creating a lovely sense of height and balance across the table. The table begins with a crisp white tablecloth banded in three black borders, a simple yet striking foundation that frames the entire setting beautifully. Against this elegant backdrop, the crystal looks especially lovely in this Easter tablescape. The delicate cut of the glass catches the light in the most enchanting way, drawing your eye upward from the bowl of the glass to the graceful stem. Crystal has a way of bringing quiet elegance to a table, and these Hoya glasses do just that. Their sparkling presence enhances the overall simplicity of the setting while adding a touch of refinement that feels perfect for an Easter gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n

The charger is by Pier 1 and features a delicate black outline of flowers scattered across a crisp white background. The design provides just the right amount of contrast against the white tablecloth while still keeping the overall look light and fresh for Easter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Easter egg and bunny plates are by Coco & Lola. I found these beauties on sale at TJ Maxx a number of years ago, and it was love at first sight. Their cheerful springtime motifs capture the playful spirit of the season, and they\u2019ve become a treasured part of my Easter table each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I especially love is how perfectly they pair with the chargers, which were a wonderful thrift store discovery. Together they create a setting that feels both festive and elegant\u2014proof that mixing thrifted finds with well-loved pieces from your collection can create a truly delightful tablescape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite\u00a0Wallace Bee Flatware Pattern<\/span>\u00a0pairs beautifully with this Easter setting. The delicate bee motif feels perfectly at home with the theme of spring and the blooming garden just outside.The flatware is silver with charming little bees and edges outlined in gold, giving it a lovely touch of elegance. I always enjoy using this pattern in the springtime\u2014it feels as though those tiny bees have flown straight in from the garden to join the celebration at the table.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always loved the graceful curves of this little statuary. Their gentle presence adds a touch of charm and whimsy to the setting, as though they\u2019ve hopped in from the garden to celebrate the holiday along with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s an overview of the tablescape. I love how the cheerful yellow flowers pop on the table against the quiet white and black tones of the rest of the setting. The contrast feels fresh and bright for spring while still keeping the overall look simple and elegant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes it\u2019s the smallest touches that bring a table to life, and those sunny blooms add just the right hint of color to this Easter gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I changed out the crystal and substituted the recently found Waterford crystal glasses. I paired them with another Waterford pattern in the wine glasses, creating a slightly different look for the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This change alters the feeling of the setting just a bit, as the Waterford pieces feature much more elaborate cutwork in the crystal. The sparkle and detail catch the light beautifully and add another layer of elegance. I think both styles are absolutely lovely, each bringing its own charm to the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using thrifted items to enhance your table setting can work beautifully when you\u2019re creating something unique. The glasses I found at the thrift store added such a special touch to this Easter tablescape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
