What is it about Fall that we love so much. If you read the quote above, you’ll know that corny humor brings out the “Fall” in me. Fall has bright yellow leaves, golden apples, beautiful flowers, candles and bird’s nests. Fall is wooden bowls filled with harvest goodies. This week I added some Fall to my entranceway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found the table runner above on a Thrift Store outing. It’s quite light and airy with pale scattered pumpkins surrounded by green vines and brown accents. It was the inspiration for the entranceway vignette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I added a candlestick in dark wood banded in etched metal holding a beautiful golden pillar candle. The wood is similar in tone to the mirror on the wall behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This little bird house sits at the base of the candle. I love the texture and color that allows the bird house to stand on it’s own and also fit in with the brown of the candlestick. Don’t you love to watch the flocks of migrating birds as they fly further south. It’s another sign of Fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I gathered some apples and small pumpkins together in a beautiful wooden bowl and placed them in front of the mirror. Now I’ll be able to see their beauty twice. The golden colors pick-up the color in the candle and exude a warmth that makes you smile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hydrangeas are gathered in a dark brown twig basket bound with a beautiful Fall ribbon. Flowers from the garden are always an inspiration and have a place in any season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
