Welcome…I’m so Happy You’re Here

Welcome, everyone! I’m so happy you’re here today. Before we talk about today’s post I wanted to let you know that I’m going to be posting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the summer with an occassional exception for a special post. Now on to the subject for today…the entry to your home. It’s the first indoor space where you can wrap your guests in the warmth of your welcome. My own entryway changes with the seasons, and it’s been long overdue for a summer update. I can’t wait to infuse it with the vibrant and cheerful elements of summer, creating a space that reflects the warmth and joy of the season.

It’s no secret that flowers are an important part of my home decor. I love having them in the entryway to create a sunny and inviting atmosphere that brings the garden indoors for everyone to enjoy. In this space, I’ve used some cherished flower books to elevate a bouquet of garden blooms featuring two different colors of yarrow and a stunning purple hydrangea. The flowers are arranged in a charming mason jar I recently found at a local thrift store. The books rest on a beautifully embroidered white table runner, adding an old-fashioned and elegant touch to this warm and welcoming vignette.

A grouping of three flower-filled mason jars takes center stage on the hallway credenza, nestled in a charming wrought iron container with wooden handles. These lovely jars create the feeling of a petite garden brought indoors, delighting everyone who enters through the front door. I love how the bouquets of old-fashioned flowers, paired with the beautifully embroidered runner, set such a welcoming tone for all who visit.

A grouping of three candles on a wooden tray complements the orange yarrow in each petite bouquet, creating a harmonious and cozy look. Imagine the warm glow of the candles lighting the way as you come into the house at night. The soft candlelight, the charming bouquets of flowers, and the beautifully embroidered white runner all come together to create a truly homey atmosphere for everyone who visits.

The hallway mirror mounted above the credenza holds a wreath made of dried lavender. Lavender scents the hallway and carries memories of sunny gardens laden with the fragrance of a beautiful plant. When guests step into the entryway I hope they will feel cared for and appreciated.

A few flowers, candles and favorite books create a space that sets the tone for a lovely visit. thanks for sharing this with me today.
