Welcome Thanksgiving Entryway
Can you believe it’s just a few weeks until Thanksgiving? After putting away Halloween I was happy to start decorating for late Fall. Today I’m putting a little Thanksgiving into the entranceway with some flowers, candles and a turkey. It looks quite magical in candlelight. Welcome, Friends, come in and stay awhile.
Three large, wooden, pillar candlesticks with cream and brown candles rest on an off-white organdy embroidered runner. Just a few pieces can make a lovely first impression on Friends and Family as you welcome them in from the cold outdoors.
You get a better look at the candlesticks in this picture. Some lovely metal embellishments add charm to the wooden candlesticks. They are similar to the flower shapes in the runner. I love that the heights are varied adding more interest to the vignette. I also love that everything is thrifted. Such fun to welcome you with thrifted treasures.
The flowers add texture as well as color to the sideboard. It’s a simple grouping but says “Welcome Thanksgiving” to me.
Here’s a closer look at Mr. Turkey. He is made of metal and wood and looks like he has a twinkle in his eye. He’s a friendly sort and is happy to be on the greeting committee.
Candlelight reflected in a mirror adds additional light to the entranceway. Candles, flowers and a friendly turkey welcome guests with softness and a touch of whimsy. I’m delighted to welcome you, today and hope you enjoyed your visit.

I always love candlelight reflected in a mirror; it’s a trick I use when when the power goes out during Maine winter storms! I really enjoy how interesting yet restful your vignettes are; you surely have a talent that escapes most of us!
Sometimes pieces just seem to fit together which makes a vignette easy to create. Just pick things you love and the rest just happens. Thanks for sharing.
