“Follow the bunny, he has the chocolate.”

Where do Easter Bunnies come from? These cute little bundles of fur are given the daunting task of delivering colorful Easter eggs to bow and girls on Easter morning. The small bunny above is an “Easter Bunny” in training and spends his time in a forest filled with Lady Banks Roses and tiny Easter eggs as he learns his trade.

Easter eggs hunts: Proof your child can find things when they really want to.

Bunnies in training learn to nestle in to small spaces peeking out amidst the vining plants to find the best path for delivering their brightly colored chocolate eggs.

“Easter combines the best of the present with the traditions of the past—like Cadbury cream eggs with hunting and gathering.” — Melanie White

The “Easter Bunny” drops by to see how they are progressing, showing them the larger eggs they will one day be responsible for delivering.

A younger bunny is found taking a power nap. He’s tuckered out from all the practicing.

“Easter Bunny Land” is a beautiful place to learn your trade.

The young bunnies work hard to fine tune their skills. In a year or two they will graduate to “Easter Bunnies” and joyfully deliver their beautiful eggs to lucky boy and girls.

“I am sending you beautiful and colorful eggs this Easter season. Be generous, don’t eat them alone, share them with your friends, and let them have a taste of the eggs. Happy Easter.”

  1. Hello.
What a cute and charming article about Easter bunnies and their training! It’s lovely to imagine them in a forest filled with flowers and tiny Easter eggs, learning the skills they need to become expert deliverers of chocolate eggs. Happy Easter indeed!
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. What a cute post! After a long day with arthritis bothering me and ANOTHER Maine snowstorm, I needed that smile! Thanx!

  3. Oh, your post and your photographs make my heart sing. I love Easter and your bunnies are just the absolute cutest. I hope all the training went really well.

  4. I enjoyed your bunnies. I got my ceramic Easter village (mostly thrifted) out this year for the first time in several years and have even lit it up on dreary Maine days–we had a return of winter this week! A local thrift store had a 50% off items with pink in them last week and I added 2 houses and some bunnies to the collection! Happy Easter!
