Sometimes when you are thrifting you just get lucky. That’s what happened today on a trip to several thrift stores about 40 minutes away. The plate shown above was a set of three and they were priced at $1 each…but it was 20% off day so they cost 80 cents each. Some of you may recognize them already. They are by Fitz & Floyd and the pattern is “Damask Holiday”. I have a set of these so finding three more plates at this price was great. A dinner plate sells for $20. It was very nice to find.
These really lovely glasses by Mikasa are called Spring Petals. You can see the cut glass stems are in the form of petals. I think these will go with almost any setting as the bowls are quite simple. You can see how they sparkle. They run about $40 per glass. My Hubby particularly liked how these looked so into the basket they went.
This last find was really a nice surprise. It was at one of my favorite North Carolina shops. They always have lovely things. This was a set of six place settings in Butterfly Meadow Lenox china. Each place setting consists of a dinner plate, salad/dessert plate and a bowl. I was able to get two blue place settings, two yellow ones and two green ones. It’s one of my favorite patterns and quite lovely with scalloped edges and central butterflies. Can’t wait until Spring to use these. I may use them during the winter.
Really gorgeous! I’ll be showing these in a tablescape soon.
Lots of goodies from the Thrift Store and some things you wouldn’t expect to find. Lenox and Mikasa pieces are always lovely and desirable. Good luck on your next thrifting adventure.
