Thrifting is a “hit or miss” kind of activity. Sometimes you come across a lot of good items and sometimes…not. Rather than get discouraged when things seem slow, I just keep on looking. It’s been a slow couple of weeks but I did find a few things to share.
Above are four cotton hand towels with some nice sayings in a pretty black script. These could also be used as napkins. I’m fond of black and white and thought these would fit in nicely. At 75 cents each you can’t really go wrong.
This sweet little hurricane lamp came in the original box. You can remove the Christmas greenery and add a variety of seasonal trims. It was $1.70 and in excellent condition.
These small glass candlesticks in Fall shapes and colors are from William Sonoma. I think they’ll work well for a table setting.
I seem to be finding a lot of pillows lately. This one still has the original tags and looks brand new. It will be great for Fall this year. Cost was $1.50.
Another set of brand new hand towels were 75 cents each. I can’t buy the fabric for that and I liked the blue and white color.
This set of 4 Christmas dessert plates were fun. I have a set of china with red rims by Lenox that will go really well with these. It’s hard to see in the pictures but they have a gold rim around the outside. A bit more contemporary in design for a nice change-up.
Finally, I found this great picture in a really nice frame. It was originally sold by Hobby Lobby. I’m partial to reindeer and this lists them all with a nice graphic in the background. It’s quite large and I have it on the gallery wall in the library for a shot of color. It was $2.75.
A small but useful haul. Hope you find some great treasures on your next thrifting expedition.
