I’m so happy to be able to share this week’s finds with you. It’s been an interesting week with stops at different venues including a Flea Market, Thrift Store and an Estate Sale. The finds are as eclectic as the venues but all in keeping with outfitting your home with some treasures. Welcome, Friends, as I show you what I found this week while thrifting.

Let’s start with this great glass by Mikasa in their “Christmas Tree” pattern. I actually bought 7 glasses all in perfect condition but had already washed and put them away in a high cupboard before I remembered to photograph them for the Blog. Just got one down to show you but there are seven. I’ll be on the lookout for number eight as I shop this Summer. These glasses have the same stem as my everyday Mikasa, “Park Lane”, so I’ll be able to use them with the Christmas stems when the season comes around.

Next, are these great highball glasses by Waterford in their “Brookside” pattern. They are really substantial and fit your hand nicely. Thrift Store prices for Waterford always works out well for me.

I found these really sweet padded fabric bowls in a bright Summer pattern for 25 cents a piece. You set a bowl with hot or cold food inside the fabric and it insulates the bowl. The hot food stays hot longer and the same for the cold. I just thought they looked cute and summery and would be fun on a table.

Eight blue and white checked cotton napkins made it home with me . They were really inexpensive and of a good quality cotton. They’ll go well with some Summer place settings.

Also found this great linen set for $2. It has a table runner, quite long, four placemats and four napkins in the set. It’s a pretty pattern and matches Mikasa’s Harvest dish wear. I think it will work well for Summer or for Fall.

I think this was my favorite find. It’s a porcelain shopping bag made in Italy and has a butterfly theme. The cheerful yellow background sports raised porcelain handles with butterflies scattered over the bag. It’s a pretty good size so will hold a nice arrangement of flowers. I love how the porcelain has folds in it like a regular cloth bag. I found it really appealing.

Such fun to find some new treasures to share. Hope you all have great thrifting adventures this week.

  1. The place where I have my booth has a dealer who makes those dish cozies; I have bought them in football team colors for friends–they are great for keeping a bowl of popcorn warm!!! I loved your finds and always envy your glass finds. Can’t wait to see you use your butterfly shopping bag with flowers or even as a planter with your Lenox butterfly dishes!
