Easter is just around the corner and I’ve set the table with bunnies dressed in their best to welcome guests for a special dining experience. Welcome, Friends, to the Blog today as I join 20 talented ladies for a Blog Hop celebrating Spring and Easter tablescapes. If you’re visiting from “My Thrift Store Addiction” welcome. Didn’t Cecelia set a lovely Tea for Two?

A great big thanks to Rita at Panoply for organizing the Blog Hop. Visit her site to see her wonderful Spring tablescape, then hop over to all the other sites and enjoy some creative ideas for your Easter and Spring tables. You’ll find links to all the Blog sites listed at the end of this Post.

Let’s get things started. I set my table this year in our formal dining room. The room is dressed for Easter with displays of bunnies and bunny dishes in the china cabinet and on the table. Come in and visit for awhile.

This table setting begins and ends with black and white. A damask tablecloth covers the table and lays the foundation for the tablescape. I love the subtle design in the tablecloth that adds a bit of interest to the overall look. Two different chargers were used to anchor the plate stack. At the head and foot of the table I used black chargers and white chargers are used on each side place setting. The plates are black and white and feature Easter eggs and bunnies romping amongst grass and flowers. I found these plates at TJ Maxx a couple of years ago. They are quite fun and add a sense of whimsy to the table.

Here you can see one of the side place settings with the white charger:

The chargers are by Homer Laughlin and are simple white, or white with a wide black rim. The dinner plates and salad plates are by Coco + Lola. I used two different patterns and alternated them around the table. One plate shows a variety of decorated eggs and the other plate has bunnies hoping amidst flowers and grasses. A simple white plate with a beaded rim from Portugal separates the dinner and salad plates.

The center of the table has a sweet runner composed of black and white bunnies with lovely little cotton tails. More white bunnies with black and white flowered collars, munching contentedly on black and white carrots, are set around the runner. A gathering of flowers in a shabby chic white metal planter lined with moss sits in the center of the table. The flowers provide the pop of color drawing the eye to the center of the table.

Here is a side view. You can see the intricacies of the metal planter lined with moss. A precious little white bunny is wearing his special flowered collar with black and white ribbons. He looks right at home on the table runner.

Silver-plate in a flare pattern is used for the flatware. This is one of my favorite patterns…..it’s simple and a bit “Art Deco” in style. The black and white theme pairs well with this silver pattern.

My favorite Vera Wang crystal is used here. The lines of the crystal goblets are simple and refined and the pattern is not overwhelming. Love how the light reflects in the crystal and is spread around the whole table.

I didn’t have napkin rings that I liked for this particular table theme so I made some simple ones from some thrift store finds. Some wire wrapped in greenery forms the napkin ring. Attached to that is a small bundle of flowers and greenery. Then a black and white ribbon is added to tie the napkin ring to the rest of the table. Simple white embroidered napkins were used to complete the setting.

The napkins and napkin rings sit at the side of the dessert plate with a sweet treat added to the plate.

Bunnies peak out from behind the planter as you look down the table.

Across the table you can see the hutch decorated with more bunnies and bunny plates. The white theme is carried to the china cabinet as well and pulls the table and cabinet together in the room.

I love how the flowers provide that shot of color that keeps the table from being too monochromatic.

Flowers and Easter eggs in similar colors reside on the tea cart as well carrying the color around the room and up into the painting on the wall.

I really enjoyed putting this tablescape together. Everything was thrifted except the bunny plates and it was a pleasure making collars for the bunnies and napkin rings for the table. Everything was thrifted other than the bunny plates on the table. Thanks for joining me for this Spring table setting. 1. I love those black and white Easter designed plates – who would have thought black and white would work for Easter, but it does!

  2. Lynne, your black and white bunny plates are adorable! I love your pastel centerpiece set against the black and white dishes, too. Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

  3. Your plates are so unusual and so cute! I am a huge fan of black and white, and I love the way you used flowers for a pop of color. The napkin rings are my favorite part, they are fabulous! Such a fun and different Spring/Easter table!

  4. nothing beats black and white and your table is a very classy table. The pop of color from the flowers is just the right touch. Making sure the theme is carried over to the tea cart and hutch brings the whole room together. Great job. I think the bunny plates are adorable…Coco+Lola, I will have to remember that. I have resorted to making my own napkin rings too..it really is easy using a faux flower and a bit of greenery. Your table is what I call elegant. It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you and in this case “hopping” is definitely in the picture.

The centerpiece is perfect with your darling little bunnies. A table after my own heart. A pleasure hopping along with you.

  6. I really like all the black and white Easter things on your table. It’s very unique! I also like that you used pastel flowers to break up the b&w, too. Very pretty mixture of elements! Happy Easter!

  7. I love your quirky black and white Easter Plates, as a person who loves mixing and matching patterns- those really speak to me!! I love that you mixed those with with more polka dots, checks and stripes all around the table!! Have a wonderful Easter and a happy spring!! 🐣💜🌷

  8. A lovely, coordinated elegant look for Easter! Black and white is an unusual choice for the holiday, but the combo really lets each element come to the fore. The plates are whimsical, yet low-key. Love the pop of color the flowers bring.

  9. Your black and white theme is carried out beautifully. The bunny and egg plates are charming as well as the runner with cotton-tail bunnies. It is always a treat to hop with you…Happy Easter!

  10. Lynne, I know you aren’t surprised that your black and white theme makes me smile with delight! Your table is such fun and styled with great care. The Coco and Lola plates are a fun contemporary touch, especially on your gorgeous traditional damask linen. I found a pair of small bowls in this Coco and Lola series. I used them last year on an Easter table for my great nieces. The table features pastel colors, but the black and white bowls add a fun touch. Pinning your post to come back for inspiration with my bowls for a new tablescape. Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

  11. There is such an element of elegance to this Easter tablesetting and the whimsy is even made to be elegant too. I love the mix of playful patterns incorporated with all of the fine dining pieces like your linens and crystal. It adds such interest and your pop of color from your flowers really play up your rustic wire planter. Perfect for a Easter garden theme. Your table runner and bunnies with bows are darling. Happy Easter!

  12. True to your motto, your tablescape is a thrited wonderland, Lynne. I like the monochromatic look, as it commands attention to the patterns and textures you’ve used. The crystal and flatware are sleek additions. Art Deco is my favorite period for style, and I agree on the flatware. A nice centerpiece adds all the necessary color, and what a great idea to make your own napkin rings, especially when you couldn’t settle on ones that suited you for the look your wanted. Thanks so much for bringing your talent to the blog hop. Happy Easter!
