If you’re looking for a simple way to make a difference in someone’s life…..Write a note. What a wonderful surprise to open the mailbox and find someone you know has taken the time to “pen” some thoughts and send them your way.

Welcome to the Blog today, Friends. I didn’t really make any New Year’s Resolutions this year but I have been thinking about making some small changes that would bring some pleasure to those I care about. “Writing” a note to a friend or relative, sending it through the mail, and having them receive it with pleasure…..perhaps a good beginning.

Start with a notecard. There are so many beautiful choices available. Because I’m a “thrifter” I like to pick up notecards at the Thrift Store. I also have some from friends who have made cards from their photos. Those are really special ones. You can choose some that represent your geographic region or perhaps a hobby that you have and would like to share.

Once you have your cards you can assemble the other things you will need.

A favorite pen is an important element. Write with an implement that allows the words to flow seamlessly onto the page. The act of writing can be a pleasure all by itself. You’re having a conversation with someone you like.

You can have some fun choosing stamps from the post office and stickers to close your envelopes. There are lots of great choices out there. Have your address book handy or your contacts list from your phone close by.

Now…..begin!

When your card is written send it on its way across the country or down the street. The recipient will find it in the mail and it will brighten their day. An easy way to let someone know they are cherished.
