There’s nothing like a snowy day to bring out the chef in my Hubby. He offered to make waffles for breakfast and I leaped at the offer. He makes terrific waffles.
I had some roses and carnations on hand so decided to use that as the jumping off point for the table setting. They are gorgeous with their pink and rose colors interspersed with Baby’s Breath.
It’s a snowy, overcast day so I decided to use a placemat that would correspond with the flowers and brighten up the table……Spring in the dead of Winter. A beautiful Wedgewood plate came next. It has an intricate raised fruit border around the rim of the plate.
Next I added a napkin in the same pinks and greens held by a napkin ring in a deeper shade. A sprig of Baby’s Breath ties the napkins to the centerpiece. Mikasa flatware in stainless steel completes the setting.
There were some blueberries in the fridge so I added them to individual tulip bowls and set them at each place setting. Who doesn’t like Blueberry Waffles?
A glass of orange juice in Mikasa’s Park Lane pattern completed the setting. A pitcher of syrup was placed on the table. Everything used in this table setting was thrifted.
All we need now are the waffles…..
Hubby did not disappoint. These golden waffles fit perfectly into the center of the Wedgewood plates just waiting for their toppings.
Syrup and blueberries were added for a breakfast feast.
Not only delicious, they also look “simply scrumptious” on the table. I am a lucky woman.
