Hello, Friends, and welcome to January 2022. Hope all of you have had a great start to your New Year. I shared these wonderful Limoges Blue Peacock plates with you last week. Found them at a local Thrift Store. I used them to change the hutch in the Dining Room to Winter colors.

Here’s a close-up. They really are beautiful with their gold edges and the gorgeous peacock centered in the plate.

I continued with the “bird” theme on the top shelf. W. H. Brimley & Co. produced these plates. They are Staffordshire Ironstone. Beautiful gold filigree circles the rim and a different bird is depicted on each of the plates. The bird drawings seem accurate and are quite lovely.

I used two different tea services in this display. The top one is from my Grandmother and I cherish it for all the memories they bring back. The nickel set is Michael Aram and recently acquired from a Thrift Store. The set is stunning and looks even better now that the tarnish has been removed. You can read about it here: https://www.thriftingwonderland.com/post/michael-aram-silver-tea-service

Silver-plated candlesticks reside in the side cubbies of the hutch and add some interest. They are a recent Goodwill acquisition.

I polished up one of my silver trays to be available for serving in the Dining Room.

Here I added a crystal beaded wreath on a smaller round silver serving tray. It looks very wintery and icy.

It’s so nice to change your displays seasonally or for special events. I love to bring out newly found pieces as well as ones that have been out of sight for awhile. It gives me a chance to dust my furniture…..LOL…..and give the room a different look. Just a few moments to change from Christmas to Winter decor and give the room a completely different feel.
