It’s a few days until New Years and we are relaxing after the Christmas rush. Hope you all had a lovely holiday. We’ve had wonderfully warm weather but I am ready for a bit of chill in the air to get into the Winter mood. Welcome, Friends, to the Blog today for a few midweek Thrift Store finds.

I found this bundle of picks at the local Humane Society Thrift Store. This Thrift Store always has great items and is one of my favorite places to shop. The bag was quite a jumble and sealed tight so I had to go by what I could see from the outside. However, it was only $2.40 so I was willing to take a chance.

When I got the package home I separated all the picks and this is what I found. Garlands, ribbon and a plethora of picks. Not too bad for $2.40.

This great sleigh was at another local Thrift Store that had a 50% off Christmas sale. The sleigh is quite large and made of metal. I won’t use it this year but it will make a great porch decoration for next year. I can just picture it filled with greens and maybe a Santa and some presents. This one was a whopping $5.

Six wooden trenchers found their way to my cart. I’m looking forward to sharing how I cleaned them up in another blog. They will be great for individual charcuterie boards or perhaps as a base for a soup bowl and bread in a rustic table setting.

A really nice cut crystal bowl was next. I’ve been looking for one this size to use for a floral centerpiece. It’s perfect for our Morning Room table.

You can never have too many boxes to use for presents. The box becomes part of the present and this one is covered in red and green fabric with a solid interior. Love the paisley print.

This silver set is “Adoration” by Rogers Silver. You see it here after I cleaned it. It’s nice to be able to rescue flatware that has been neglected and looks so dirty and tarnished. A little silver polish and it gleams once again.

Wishing everyone a lovely New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. From my Family to Yours: Happy New Year!
