Hi, Friends, and welcome to the Blog today. We just got back from two weeks vacation at the beach and we had a wonderful, relaxing time walking the beach, eating seafood and doing a little exploring in the area. Now we’re back and gearing up for the upcoming holidays. All the Thanksgiving and Fall colors are beautiful and intense so today I opted for something softer with flowers culled from the garden. I have Camelias blooming and I chose some Lambs Ears for filler to put together some pink and green arrangements. I kept it really simple with a small centerpiece and a glass pitcher of flowers at each place setting.

When the plates are removed you can gather the pitchers together to make a larger statement for the center of the table.

I really enjoyed mixing blues and pinks together using English plates and some handmade Polish plates. Everything rests on individual silver platters that I’m still collecting.

I really enjoy using all my thrifted plates and mixing and matching them. Sometimes the eclectic look is just what you want to rest the eye from all the brilliant Fall colors.

Love how the individual pitchers add a sense of care for each of special guest. Flowers make every meal beautiful.

I chose pink and white napkins with silver napkin rings to compliment the pink, Crown Ducal salad/dessert plates. The silverplate is a simple flower pattern, not elaborate but seemed to fit the setting.

Crystal glasses are always a wonderful addition to any dinner party. These are two of my favorites. The water goblet is a Noritake pattern and the wine glass is Mikasa. I’m always surprised when I find these great glasses at a Thrift Store.

Looking across the table you can see how the china, crystal and silver all work together to create an inviting table setting for guests to enjoy.

Here’s an overview of the very simple centerpiece of flowers in a crystal pitcher.

Looking towards the garden you get a great view of what guests will see. The dark blue background of the tablecloth really sets off the colors of the china plates and makes the crystal and silver shine. It’s nice to come home from vacation to a beautiful table. Looking forward to the holiday season as it comes closer.
