Welcome to the Blog today, Friends. This morning, after coffee on the screened porch, it seemed like a really good day to fix a quick brunch. After checking the fridge to see what I had on hand and checking with my hubby I decided on French Toast. Yesterday, Hubby baked some rosemary bread so that seemed like a good vehicle for French Toast.

I served it with orange slices left over from preparing the French Toast…..a nice benefit.

Mix up six eggs in a bowl and whisk them together.

Add the zest of one orange, 1/4 cup orange juice and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon to the egg mixture. Whisk until blended.

Soak the bread in the egg mixture allowing absorption on one side before flipping to the other side.

Grill the Bread until each side is lightly browned.

Transfer to a warmed plate and add your topping fo choice. This serving added maple syrup.

For a special treat add a Mimosa (part orange juice and part champagne).

This is a great treat for a lazy weekend breakfast and takes just a short time to put together.
