Wow! We made it through August and all it’s extreme weather conditions. We’re seeing the last of the latest Hurricane. By the time it reached us it was just some heavy rain that we actually needed. I’ll be able to get out into the garden this week and do some much needed clean-up as the humidity will drop as well as the temperature. My garden definitely needs some attention. A big welcome, Friends, as I share some late Summer finds with you today.

Found these sweet little brush Christmas trees for bargain prices at Goodwill. They are in excellent condition and are a cute addition to my Christmas tree collection.

Next is this really nice wooden frame from Hobby Lobby……although I found it at a Goodwill for just a couple of dollars. I don’t often buy anything with wording but this is an enduring quote that bears revisiting. I’ll be able to choose a photo for the center from our collection. The deep red frame is great for Fall and Winter.

My Hubby came up with this set of Fall plates from Italy. The grape harvest is depicted on the front which brings back fond memories of our times in Italy. The plates have a white background with shades of green. Can’t wait to use them in a table setting for two.

I found this great crackled serving plate from Pier 1. I have some dessert plates and bread and butter plates in this same pattern. So, a lucky find.

Next is a set of six colonial style goblets with blue bowls and clear stems. I really like the deeper blue color in these goblets. They are quite heavy and will easily hold 8 ounces of liquid. They’ll make great water goblets in a table setting with some of my blue and white china.

I’ve been collecting 13-14 inch round silver serving plates to use as chargers. I don’t like to pay more than $2 so it’s been a bit of a hunt. They also have to be in fairly good condition so they can be polished. They don’t need to match exactly, the size will pull the look together. I have one more to find to make a set of four.

This week’s best find was a set of Mikasa’s, Harmony, pattern. This is really beautiful stainless flatware found at a local thrift Store. My Hubby sold the old flatware on Ebay which covered the cost of this set with money left over. It’s great when it works out that way. hope you all have some great thrifting adventures this week.
