It’s almost September and Fall will be here before we know it. Welcome to the Blog today, Friends. I put together a tablescapes featuring Fall colors, sunflowers, beautiful plates and a relaxed dining space to share with you today. Fall leading into Christmas is probably my favorite time of year and as a Blogger I’m learning I have to always be a little bit ahead of the next season. I’ve been busy making wreaths and Fall centerpieces and now a table setting that leans towards those rich Fall tones.
I was inspired by these gorgeous flowers. The deep yellows and reds set off by whites create this vibrant color palate. I just shopped my local grocery store for these great blooms and arranged them in a cut glass vase. Grocery stores often have great flower choices for pretty reasonable prices. The flowers are such happy colors that it was easy to make them the focal point of the table setting.
The plate stack starts with a charger that looks like wood. It’s in a soft wood tone and acts as a neutral base for the plates while suggesting trees and woods. The dinner plate is Mikasa’s Flower Basket White. It has a basket weave around the edge with raised flowers and vines circling the center. The last piece is a Pier 1 plate that I love to use. It is so colorful and the flowers are large and bright just like the real flowers on the table.
The place setting sits on a beautiful yellow placemat from Pottery Barn. I found this set recently with six placemats and matching napkins. I used some Fall napkins for the setting today. The napkin picks up the colors in the flowers on the plates and in the vase. I used little wooden mallard duck napkin rings to secure the napkins. Love how they pick up the color of the green glasses.
Mikasa flatware, Harmony pattern, found at the Thrift Store this week was used in the place setting. It is a beautiful set. I was able to get eight place settings with extra pieces and some serving pieces. It’s quite sleek and will go with any table setting. This was a great find and looks super on the table.
I’ve used the green water goblets before and love how they add color to the table. The wine goblets are Gorham and I found them recently in a large set of twenty, ten water and 10 wine glasses. Love how the cut glass catches the light.
Here’s a close up of the mallard duck. For a little guy he has a lot of personality. He won’t let go of that napkin until someone sits down to dinner.
All the colors come together in this table setting. In the background you can see my DIY wreaths for Fall and the Scarecrow family I used recently for a centerpiece.

Here’s an overhead of the table. You can see how the flowers and the flower plates carry the color around the table. The green glasses help distribute the color.
A view across the table to the wall of photographs shows lots of open space on the table. The table is cheerful and filled with the colors of Fall.
This came together easily. Even the napkins will make you think that Fall is on the way. While we are still dealing with heat and humidity it’s great to look forward to cooler weather and beautiful Fall colors.
Everything on the table was thrifted and that makes it affordable and fun…… fun to put together and fun to shop for pieces to build this tablescape.
