Hello Friends and welcome to today’s Blog. I’ll be sharing a really simple but quite delicious recipe made with a few readily available ingredients. The dish can be made start to finish in about 20 minutes will serve about 4 people.


12 ounces spaghetti

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley plus more for serving

2 tablespoons fresh basil plus more for serving

Juice and zest of two lemons

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup salted pasta water

Freshly cracked black pepper for serving

In a large pot boil water and add salt. Add pasta to the water and cook according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup salted pasta water for later use.

Zest and juice lemons reserving until needed.

Peel and mince two garlic cloves reserving until needed. Mince basil and parsley reserving until later.

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic, parsley, basil, lemon zest and lemon juice. Add the salted pasta liquid and parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

Transfer the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the pasta sauce and toss until well coated.

Serve with extra parsley, basil and parmesan cheese.

This simple meal can be enhanced with broiled shrimp, salmon or chicken. Cook separately then add to the skillet with the spaghetti and sauce.
