Welcome to the Blog today. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration and are looking forward to Spring. The weather really co-operated here allowing families to celebrate outdoors in warm, sunny weather. Flowers are blooming and gardens are awakening. The birds are congregating on our backyard feeders with multiple species sharing in the bounty.
I set my Easter table yesterday with my bunny dishes from T.J. Maxx. Love how you can mix and match the bunny plates and the Easter egg plates to make an interesting combination. The plates sit on a checked, black-and-white charger from Hobby Lobby. The pasta bowl is from Mikasa’s English Countryside pattern and adds some texture to the plate stack.
Chocolate bunnies sit in each bowl waiting for Easter dinner to arrive.
The black, white and cream table runner is a recent acquisition. Love the little cottontails on the bunnies. I used my Rose Point Sterling Silver by Wallace in this setting. Black and white checked napkins with silver napkin rings accompany the place setting.
My “go to” crystal, Mikasa’s Park Lane, was used for this Easter table. You can see the sheep is very interested in what is happening at the table.
Small pitchers filled with Lady Banks roses are placed at each table setting.
Hydrangea plants are the center for a gathering of Easter rabbits and sheep. They are quite eager to join in the celebrations.
We had a simple menu of Spring Pea and Mushroom Risotto with a garnish of Parmesan cheese. The recipe will be coming in a future blog. It was really delicious and just right after the appetizers and cheese tray served earlier in the afternoon.
No Easter dinner is complete without dessert.
Strawberry Short Cake fit our Spring menu perfectly. The strawberries were served on vanilla cake with whipped cream laced with lemon to cut some of the sweetness. It was delicious.
Of course, sharing Easter with Family was the best part. We are still being very cautious so just had one guest but it was a pleasure to share the holiday with a loved one. Hope your Easter was joyful and you were able to share it with Family or Friends while staying safe. Happy Easter until next year!
