Hi Everyone and Welcome! I glanced outside the window first thing this morning and was greeted with sunshine, birdsong and phlox blooming on the rocks in the herb garden. What a happy start to the day. The temperature is in the 70’s and the tulip magnolia is blooming. Welcome Spring!

I felt inspired to put together a tablescape that welcomed Spring.

the tablecloth acted as the starting point for this table setting. It’s a recent acquisition from the thrift Store and is covered in a riot of flower garlands against a white background. The bottom of the tablecloth is bound in green. It seemed perfect to pair with the Susan Cooper dishes and the Villeroy and Boch dishes recently found at a couple of thrift stores in the area. The dish stack sits on off-white chargers from Hobby Lobby.

I’ve used the Susan Cooper flowered dishes quite a bit recently. They just seem to fit well with a more relaxed farmhouse feel. I felt like they were absolutely meant to be used with this tablecloth. The new (to me) Villeroy and Boch dessert plates seem to go well with everything. They have a very simple, classic pattern that provides some interest and elegance to any table setting. Love how they look with the flowered dishes.

Seemed like a perfect time to use these J&J Farms milk bottles. They hold a simple arrangement of Italian Flat Parsley. I use this herb all the time when cooking. It’s nice to keep some cut ready to incorporate in a dish I’m preparing.

Green hand-blown water and wine glasses also lend themselves to the farmhouse feel and pick-up on the other greens in the parsley, dishes and tablecloth. They have that chunky, solid look with a little bit of charm. The pink checked napkin fans out of the wine glass to give the tablesetting some height and to pull out the pink in the tablecloth. The check is another farmhouse element.

A crystal candlestick and pillar candle with flowers floating in the wax sits between the parsley-filled milk bottles adding some color and texture to the centerpiece.

A rabbit, dragon, frog and goose add a bit of whimsy to the table setting and are a nice little favor for a guest to take home.

This Spring Country Farmhouse tablescape is just like looking outside at all the plants and flowers that are coming back to life. It just makes you happy. I hope you will go look in your cupboards and create a happy table setting of your own. Have a great day!
