Hello all. Don’t know about you but I can’t believe we are so close to Christmas Eve. The days are going by really quickly and I’m trying to enjoy each moment. Today’s tablescape is filled with red, green and gold, the colors of the season.

I started this one with a white, silver and gold placemat. Next came a really beautiful glass red and gold scroll charger (thrifted). You can see how really pretty it is in the next picture. On the charger I placed a Fitz and Floyd Yuletide plate. It is accented with gold beads around the edge and scroll work in the red rim. Then I added the matching dessert/salad plate that has a wonderful red and gold ribbon and some greenery added to the plate. The same gold beads rim the scalloped edge. Finally, a bread and butter plate from Lenox (thrifted) in white rimmed in black and gold completes the stack.

A Pfaltzgraf berry/shrimp bowl was added to the stack (thrifted). It has a red glass stem and a delicate holly and berry motif circling the dish. I used my Wallace Rose Point sterling silver for this special place setting. My Grandmother started the pattern for me when I was born and I will pass it to my daughter one day.

A red and green napkin encircled by a gold napkin ring rests beside the placemat. Golden trees with scroll work sit ready to hold the names of the dinner guests. The Lenox Opal Innocence crystal also has scroll work traveling around each glass adding to the overall table.

Natural greenery spills from red and gold pots that travel the length of the table. They are placed on a red and gold velveteen runner that ties all the colors together.

Two wooden candlesticks sporting gold pillar candles separate the red pots. The candlesticks came in a set of three and were recent find at Miracle Hill Thrift Store.

I really liked how this table setting came together. I hope family will be happy to sit down at this table and celebrate the Yuletide together.
