Have a seat at this Christmas Plaid Tablescape breakfast table. The wall just beyond the table is sporting a collection of Fitz and Floyd plates. The colorful plates add a feeling of joyful anticipation as we move closer to Christmas morning.

No chargers for this table. We have a Martha Stewart plaid tablecloth as a base followed by plaid placemats adding more pattern to the table. The dinner plate is rimmed with a complimentary plaid border with Norma Rockwell iconic images in the center of the plate. Next comes a plaid bread and butter plate (yet another plaid) and finally a small plate with poinsettia plants and red ribbons rimmed with more red. The three plates, although very different, work well together and create a playful feeling for the table.

To keep the setting casual I used an Oneida stainless pattern recently found at the Humane Society Thrift Store. It reminds me of simpler times when people gathered around the table and shared stories of friends and family. It was a service for eight with a couple of serving pieces. Coupled with the plates and silverware are some beautiful glasses with holly leaves and berries. These are nice and heavy and fit well with the casual vibe.

This really cute musical cookie tin has Santa circling the outside with his reindeer. Different plaid napkins are held together with jingle bell napkin holders and placed in the cookie tin awaiting the breakfast guests.

The Studio 56 snow covered tree is flanked by pomegranates and little Christmas balls.

A perfect breakfast table for all your guests. Enjoy!
