Pottery Barn Silk Drapery Panels

Remember those drapery panels I showed you the other day?

Here they are again, cleaned and pressed, and hung in the guest room. I am really happy with how they look. Ordered the black curtain rod on-line. Honestly, it cost more than the drapes.

After finishing in the guest room I set the table in the dining room. Wanted to see if I could put together an earthy but pulled together tablescape from some of my thrifted finds. Here’s what I came up with.

Everything on the table was from a thrift store with the exception of the flatware.

I started with a light gold tablecloth than added leather chargers. I think they are Pier 1. The dinner plates came next and are from a variety of potters. I pick these up whenever I see them as long as they are in the same color family as what I already have. The salad plates are also pottery and each one has a different design on the top.

Next I added English pottery beakers. These were originally used for breakfast to hold milk but I think they work great as water glasses. Beside the beakers are simple wine glasses that I use for everyday. You find these all the time at thrift stores. I added the rather heavy napkins and placed them in the wine glasses for some height and color.

The centerpiece is made up of a table runner grounded in earth tones and two antique sugar molds. I added some mercury glass votives to the sugar molds for candle light. Nothing really matches but I think it came together pretty well. We’ll see what the dinner guests think.
