Start your brunch with a simple setting composed of thrifted items. The beautiful and somewhat unusual placemars are made from two distinct patterns joined together to create distinctive parts of the whole. The dark grey background on the right is emroidered with a lovely scroll pattern in white and off-white.
The china is Mikassa’s English Countryside and forms a neutral background for the food. The pattern is cut around the edges of the china and reinforces the scroll work in the placemat.
Lenox’s Opal Innocence crystal wine glass is cut with a scroll pattern echoing the china and placemat.
Cost of the tablesetting was very reasonable as all were estate sale and thrift store items.
Brunch was a simple affair of spinach, mushroom and feta cheese omelettes with homemade biscuits, fruit salad and mimosas.
Fresh parsley, chives and basil added to the flavor.
There were generous portions for all……
……..with biscuits fresh from the oven.
