One Day’s Adventure in the Thrift Store

Okay, so I had a great day. That doesn’t always happen but it was truly a GREAT DAY at the Thrift Store. We went to three shops: Good Will, Miracle Hill, and Salvation Army and found some things at each one. Starting from the left….I found a. Container of wooden building blocks with some nice colorful red ones as part of the collection.

There were multiple shapes which always make it more interesting.

Next to the blocks you can see the snowman teapot and cup. This is really cute and was in perfect condition. Underneath the blocks is a Christmas throw with Santas and Snowmen woven into the fabric. Then we have a couple of containers of glass pebbles which you can see used in another post. In the back are three Framed botanicals from Wild Flowers of America, 1894. These are quite old and taken from a book of botanicals. In front of the botanicals is a beautiful white bowl in the shape of a leaf.

Next to that is a wine cooler from Pier 1 and in the far right is a nested Santa. The Santa on the far right is a German Beer Stein which sells for over $50.00 on eBay. Coming around the front we have a lovely snowman plate, two sets of coasters (one with four ceramic Christmas trees and one that is the 12 days of Christmas. Neither set had been used.) Then we have a Santa plate. In the center is a wooden Rudolph sitting in (wait for it!!!) a Le Crueset paella pan that sells for @$250.00.

I absolutely had to contain my exuberant joy until I had exited the store. It was a truly wonderful find.
